The borough of Shenandoah is under a Boil Water Advisory.
Manager Mike Cadau informs Coal Region Canary that Shenandoah’s water provider, Aqua Pennsylvania, informed residents of a water main leak Monday night, just before 9 p.m.
The Boil Water Adivsory is in effect until further notice.
At their regular monthly meeting Monday evening, Shenandoah council members expressed frustration with the borough’s aging and failing water and sewer infrastructure but also Aqua’s response and lack of communication regarding numerous water leaks, many of which are ongoing.
Those leaks have led to no water service at times and low water pressure for many in Shenandoah.
