Police Charge Woman Who Allegedly Struck Man Over the Head with Don Julio Tequila at Schuylkill County New Year’s Eve Party

Aislynn Perez, of Allentown, is the fourth person charged after the party.

Police have charged a fourth person in connection with a New Year’s Eve party in Pottsville that allegedly turned violent when an argument about alcohol erupted.

An Allentown woman, Aislynn Perez, 22, is wanted by police after she allegedly struck a man over the head with a bottle of Don Julio tequila as the fracas reached a fever pitch.

Perez is being charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment. Magisterial District Judge James Reiley signed a warrant for her arrest on Monday.

Perez is the fourth person to be charged in this alleged incident, which occurred at a New Year’s Eve party on the 500 block of E. Market St.

Three Allentown men – including the victim – have already been charged.

Jose Antonio Perez, 49, and his son, Antonio Jose Perez, 23, face charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment. Police allege the dispute began over a bottle of alcohol and escalated when the men attacked Wilson Caraballo, 23, with bottles and a blender pitcher.

Police say they stopped a vehicle leaving the scene and detained Antonio Perez, noting he had “significant blood spatter” on his glasses and clothing but no injuries to his hands.

Caraballo, the alleged victim, was also charged with felony firearms offenses. According to the initial report, hospital security staff discovered a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun hidden in Caraballo’s sock while he was being treated for a traumatic head injury.

Police subsequently determined Caraballo was a fugitive with outstanding warrants for failure to appear and for providing false information regarding a firearm purchase.

Antonio Perez and Caraballo were arraigned and bail was set at $25,000 for each. A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of Jose Perez.
