Welcome to the Canary Rescue Crew on Coal Region Canary. Every day, we are putting the spotlight on an adoptable pet from shelters and rescues across Schuylkill County waiting for a forever home.
Today’s crew member is Heidel. Heidel is an 8-year-old German Rottweiler with a big heart and an even bigger personality.
After spending 1,750 days at Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, he finally found a home, only to lose it through no fault of his own.
Now he’s back, still hopeful, still loyal, and still dreaming of forever.
Heidel thrives as the only pet in a calm, structured home with no small children. He’s strong, expressive, and full of character, ready to bond deeply with someone who understands his needs and loves him for exactly who he is.
He’s not just looking for a home. He’s looking for his person
