Today’s featured friend is Mischa, an 18-month-old tabby at Hillside SPCA whose story is rooted in resilience and quiet potential.
Mischa came to the shelter as a stray when she was just two months old. Growing up in a shelter environment has made her a little skittish, but not unkind. What she really needs is patience, consistency, and a person who understands that trust takes time.
As a tabby, Mischa is very intelligent. Once she realizes she is truly home and that nothing bad is going to happen, she will know it. And when that happens, she has all the makings of a wonderful companion.
She is observant, thoughtful, and capable of forming deep bonds once she feels safe.
Mischa is not asking for perfection. She is asking for someone willing to go slow, give her space, and let her bloom at her own pace.
For the right person, the reward will be a loyal, loving cat who finally gets to experience what home really means.
