National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County on Tuesday.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today.
Forecasters say up to an inch of snow is expected to fall on much of Schuylkill County. A light glaze of ice is also possible.
Slippery road conditions are expected for the Tuesday morning commute. Allow extra time and use caution if you need to get somewhere this morning.
Snow is expected to start falling around 3 a.m. and wrap up somewhere around 11 a.m. Tuesday. A high temp of about 43 degrees is forecast for much of Schuylkill County.
The sky will eventually clear later in the day, making the way for strong wind gusts – up to 32 mph at night.
Strong, gusty winds will persist into Christmas Eve on Wednesday, with a high of 42 degrees and a low at about 28.
Christmas Day looks mostly cloudy with a high of 42 degrees.
