It’s Furiday Friends on Coal Region Canary!
As the holidays approach, we are spotlighting pets who are hoping for something truly special this season. A quiet home. A safe place. And someone to call their own.
This week’s featured friend is Quill, a buff tabby estimated to be between 3 and 5 years old.
Quill came to Hillside SPCA as a stray, and the shelter environment has been a lot for him. He is extremely shy, but he is not unapproachable.
In fact, once you slow down and meet him where he is, you can see it right away. There is a very good boy in Quill. He just needs a space where he can finally relax and feel secure.
Quill is the kind of cat who would thrive in a calm home with patience and understanding. Give him time, consistency, and a quiet corner to call his own, and he will show you just how loving and special he can be.
This holiday season, Quill is hoping for more than decorations or treats. He is hoping for a home where he can feel safe enough to be himself.

Visitation and adoption hours are from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. every day of the week.
