5 Men Wanted by Police in Schuylkill County for Allegedly Ransacking Apartment

Two suspects from Schuylkill County

Arrest warrants have been issued for five men – including two from Schuylkill County – charged with burglarizing a Mechanicsville apartment earlier this month.

State Police say surveillance footage captured the group entering an unlocked residence on Anderson St. Once inside, they allegedly stole cash, a pair of Meta eyeglasses, and smashed two televisions.

Felony burglary and criminal trespassing as well as related misdemeanor charges have been filed against the following individuals:

  • Keith King, 21, of Pottsville
  • Ali Brown-Bailey, 23, of Aliquippa
  • Robert Quinn, 22, of Palo Alto
  • David Anderson, 20, of Edgewood, Maryland
  • Samuel Whitman-Frazier, 19, of Philadelphia

According to court documents, police were dispatched to an apartment on Anderson St. in Mechanicsville, a suburb of Pottsville, just before 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 for a report of a burglary.

A resident reportedly told police she left the apartment shortly before 3:30 p.m. and returned shortly before 9 p.m. to find her home “ransacked”.

Police say $250 in cash was taken from a wallet sitting on a couch and a pair of META eyeglasses valued at approximately $300 was stolen from the home.

In addition to the missing items, police found that two televisions had been smashed during the incident. The affidavit lists the broken property as a 75-inch Roku television valued at $500 and a 24-inch Roku television valued at $75.

Police say they reviewed surveillance footage with a second resident at the scene which allegedly captured the suspects moving in and out of the home over a period of roughly 25 minutes that afternoon.

At 4:23 p.m., Brown-Bailey was allegedly recorded entering the apartment through an unlocked front door.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., a dark blue Lexus LS with a Maryland registration parked in the driveway. Police say that three males exited the vehicle, met with Brown-Bailey at the front of the residence, and entered the apartment.

Two minutes later, at 4:47 p.m., King allegedly exited the vehicle, met Brown-Bailey at the entrance, “dabs [sic] him up,” and entered the residence.

The resident told police she recognized two of the individuals in the video: she identified King as her “best friend’s nephew” and Brown-Bailey as an acquaintance named “Ali” who had been brought to the apartment once before.

She also told police she believed the other individuals attended Penn State-Schuylkill. Police say they are familiar with Brown-Bailey and King due to their alleged involvement in a recent retail theft case.

Investigators ran a search on the Lexus’ license plate number, which revealed the registered owner to be Anderson. A photo record search confirmed Anderson was one of the individuals who entered the residence with Brown-Bailey.

Following the identification of the vehicle, Troopers traveled to Penn State-Schuylkill and met with campus police. Police at PSU-Schuylkill indicated that King was currently outside one of the campus buildings. Troopers then met with King outside his dormitory, where, according to the affidavit, he identified two of the other individuals involved as Robert “RJ” Quinn and “Samuel Whitman”.

Quinn was positively identified through a PennDOT photo search as one of the males who entered the home. While “Samuel Whitman” did not initially appear in the police system, Officer Becker used campus resources to provide a student identification photo for Samuel Whitman-Frazier, who was then identified by police as the fifth individual to enter the residence.
