It’s Furiday Friends on Coal Region Canary!
Each week, we team up with Hillside SPCA to spotlight an adoptable pet who’s ready to start their next chapter.
This week’s featured feline is Bruce — a warm, friendly orange tabby who arrived as a stray but was clearly loved long before coming into the shelter’s care.
Between 4–5 years old, Bruce is the definition of calm and affectionate. He LOVES attention, so expect head bumps, slow blinks, and plenty of snuggle requests. He carries himself like a cat who once had a home — and who hopes to find that feeling again.
Bruce may do best as an only cat, but the shelter is willing to test him with feline friends if needed. What he really wants is a person of his own, a soft spot to nap, and a home where his gentle personality can shine.
Bruce has so much love to give — he’s just waiting for someone who wants to soak it all in.

Visitation and adoption hours are from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. every day of the week.
