Schuylkill County Man Convicted on Charges He Assaulted Exotic Dancer

Judge revokes bail post-conviction

A Schuylkill County man was convicted by a Luzerne County jury Wednesday on charges he assaulted an exotic dancer at a gentleman’s club in 2022.

According to Pennsyvlania Attorney General Dave Sunday, Miguel Antonio Nunez, 40, of Shenandoah, was convicted on charges of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. The verdict came at the end of a three-day trial in Luzerne County Court.

Nunez is scheduled to be sentenced on April 2. A Luzerne County judge revoked Nunez’ bail and sent him to prison to await sentencing.

The jury believed that Nunez bought private dances from the victim in this case. Despite her saying no repeatedly, Nunez assaulted her.

“The facts in this case show that the defendant did not have the victim’s consent to do what he did. That is assault, regardless of the setting,” Sunday says in a statement. “I applaud the victim for having the courage to come forward and face her attacker and ensure he is held accountable for what he did to her.”
