State Police say they’re investigating a theft from a vendor at the Hometown Farmers Market yesterday.
At about 3:30 p.m., a vendor at the market told police that a woman visited her stand and made off with a silver ring with what’s described as a blue sapphire stone.
Another shopper at the market reportedly witnessed the theft and told the vendor about it.
The suspect is described as a white woman, standing about 5-2 and weighing about 110 pounds. She was wearing a camo military-style hat and possibly a tan jacket. She’s in her late-20s to early-30s, police say.
Police say a suspect identity is being developed.
The ring was valued at $15.
