The Frackville man accused of fatally shooting his wife earlier this month waived all charges, including first- and third-degree murder, to Schuylkill County Court.
Andrew Peleschak, 56, chose not to have a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Court Judge Edward Tarantelli on Wednesday. Peleschak could have challenged the prosecution on whether they had probable cause to charge him as they did.
He’s facing murder charges after he allegedly admitted to police that he shot his wife, Natalie, to death shortly after midnight on Oct. 4 at their S. Center St. home in Frackville.
Peleschak allegedly shot his wife once in the vagina and then in the forehead before attempting to take his own life. Natalie was found dead in their home.
Police say Peleschak phoned 9-1-1 after shooting his wife and they found him outside his home bleeding profusely from the head.
Peleschak was rushed from the scene to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment of his head injury. He was arraigned on the murder charges a few days later in Frackville
Investigators have revealed that during an interview at the hospital, Peleschak said that he found messages on his wife’s phone that implied she was unfaithful.
In addition to murder, Peleschak is also facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.
He is being represented in court by the Schuylkill County Public Defenders Office.
