Police Confirm Remains Found Are Those of Tamaqua Man Jesse Farber, Missing Since 2015

ATV riders spotted remains this summer

Police say human remains found by ATV riders in Walker Township this summer are those of Jesse Lee Farber, who was listed as missing out of Tamaqua since 2015.

According to State Police-Frackville, the ATV riders were in Walker Township and found remains along a path they were riding. Police say they responded to the scene and confirmed the remains were human.

Lab analysis of those remains confirmed they were those of Farber. Family members have been notified, police say.

The Finding Jesse Farber Facebook page announced this news earlier Friday. In the post, admins especially thank Tamaqua Police Michael Hobbs and others for their help over the years.

State Police say they were also assisted by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office and the Northeast Search and Rescue K-9 team.

This remains an active investigation, police say, and anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Jordan Seiler at 570-874-5300.
