Two women have been charged following an alleged altercation in a Schuylkill County Dollar General parking lot.
Court documents show that Troopers from State Police-Schuylkill Haven were sent to the Dollar General store in Branch Township on the morning of Aug. 17 for a reported incident.
Police say they spoke with both parties involved in the alleged altercation. They learned that an argument had started between Skylee Heckman, 20, of Orwgisburg, and Wendy Strohl, 60, of Slatington, over Strohl’s son’s children.
Strohl allegedly reached around Heckman to take a baby carrier from her. When she did that, Heckman allegedly bit her on the right forearm.
Police say they observed a bite mark on Strohl’s arm.
Heckman reportedly told police that when Strohl had her arm around her, she was taken to the ground. She said she bit Strohl to get her arm away from her. Strohl reportedly continued to take Heckman to the ground as she held the baby carrier.
Police say they noted a scratch on Heckman’s right elbow and light scratches on her neck.
Both Heckman and Strohl have been charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. They have preliminary hearing dates on Dec. 18 at District Court in Tremont.
