A Schuylkill County man has been charged with selling methamphetamine to a police informant on three separate occasions earlier this year.
According to court documents, Bret Ritchie, 44, of Schuylkill Haven, met with an informant twice in North Manheim Township and once in Wayne Township between June and July.
During each meeting, Ritchie exchanged an undisclosed quantity of methamphetamine to the informant, who provided the defendant with marked cash for the drugs, police say.
Field tests on the drugs provided by Ritchie allegedly returned positive results for the presence of methamphetamine.
Ritchie was arraigned on Sept. 9 before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and charged with three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Plachko set bail at 10% of $50,000 and sent Ritchie to Schuylkill County Prison. Bail was posted on Sept. 11, according to court records. A preliminary hearing before Judge AJ Serina is set for Sept. 23.
