Robert P. of Schuylkill County recently won an unforgettable VIP trip package to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN, as part of the Women in Country Music Second-Chance Drawing from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The special experience included front-row seats at a private Martina McBride Concert and the opportunity to meet McBride and other country music stars in person.
Perhaps the best part of the experience for Robert was taking his mother, a big country music fan, along to share the moment.
“My mom was right there when I found out [I won]. She’s always loved Dollywood, and when I told her what the prize was, her face lit up. When my mom asked who I was bringing, I didn’t hesitate. ‘You!’ I said,” said Robert.
Robert shared that the experience was top-notch from the very beginning. The organizers were very friendly and helpful and left a surprise in an envelope waiting in his hotel room upon his arrival.
“We were thrilled to learn that in addition to front-row seats at the Martina McBride concert, we also won a Meet & Greet Experience — which meant a photo opportunity with Martina McBride and McKenzie Carpenter. It just kept getting better!” said Robert.
“The concert itself? Incredible. Martina McBride’s voice live in Dollywood’s Celebrity Theater was something I’ll never forget. There was even a video of our experience taken, which made it feel even more special. We hung out with winners from other states — everyone was in such great spirits. It was a riot in the best way,” added Robert.
Robert won his VIP trip package after entering a non-winning Lady Luck Scratch-Off ticket in the Second-Chance Drawing. After doing so, he said he wasn’t expecting much. But then he received a message: Congratulations, you’ve won a trip!
“The food, the music, the people… everything was amazing. And sharing it all with my mom made it that much more meaningful. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime memory,” he added.
