A Schuylkill County man was jailed earlier this week after allegedly assaulting two relatives during a domestic dispute in New Philadelphia.
According to State Police in Frackville, troopers were dispatched to a home in the borough at about 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 for a reported domestic incident.
Police say Michael Sura, 43, began arguing with relatives at the home, and the situation escalated.
During the confrontation, Sura allegedly shoved one family member while attempting to strike another. Both victims fell and suffered injuries, and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Sura was arrested and charged with two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley, who set bail at 10% of $20,000. Sura remains in Schuylkill County Prison as of Saturday night.
