Police in Pottsville say they executed a search warrant Friday morning on a home following a drug investigation.
The search warrant was executed on an apartment at 304 S. 2nd St. in Pottsville at about 6:30 a.m. Friday. An investigation into the alleged activity at this residence began in May, police say.
Throughout the investigation, police say they made several controlled buys of K2 (aka Spice) from the apartment rented by Marlene Haller, 58.
Substances purchased from Haller were sent to the State Police lab for testing and reportedly came back positive for the presence of ADB-BUTINANCA and 5-fluoro ADB, which are Schedule 1 indole carboxamides.
Police say their search of the apartment netted 101 individually knotted bags of K2, a gallon-sized resealable bag that they suspect contained Spice, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale, a large amount of packaging materials, various items of drug paraphernalia, and $1,439 in cash.
Haller reportedly told police she’d been selling Spice for more than a year from her apartment. She sold $10 and $20 bags to about 10 customers per day.
Police took Haller into custody on a bench warrant and she’s been remanded to Schuylkill County Prison. Haller is facing felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance along with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
