A Schuylkill County man reportedly dropped his fentanyl when he exited his vehicle during a recent traffic stop.
According to police in Saint Clair, a traffic stop was initiated on a red Ford Focus at Thwing St. and Caroline Ave. on Aug. 9 because it had one headlight out and an expired inspection.
The driver – identified as Jason T. Williams, 53, of New Philadelphia – exited the vehicle during the traffic stop. When he did, police say a container dropped to the ground.
Police say substances believed to be fentanyl and methamphetamine were inside that container. Williams reportedly admitted that the substances were, indeed, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
A glass smoking device and straws were also found inside Williams’ vehicle, police say.
Williams is facing charges of possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia as well as several traffic citations.
