Police Investigating Reported Burglary Involving Pair of Chevrolet Bel Airs

Public asked for information

Police are investigating a reported theft in Pottsville Monday evening involving two classic cars.

According to information released by Pottsville Bureau of Police, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Anderson St. for a reported burglary.

During their investigation, police say they learned that sometime between 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 5 p.m. on Aug. 11, someone broke into a garage and removed two 1955 Chevrolet Bel Airs and placed them in the parking lot for Lehigh Valley Hospital in the 700 block of Anderson St.

Several other items were also reported stolen from the garage, including two bumpers for a Chevrolet Bel Air, two mini-split air conditioner units, and Harley-Davidson fender flares.
