Up to 2″ of Rain Possible Today

Schuylkill County will be under a Flood Watch from this afternoon until late Thursday night.

National Weather Service says up to 2 inches of rain is likely, especially across central and eastern Schuylkill County. Generally, about an inch of rain is expected across all of Schuylkill County on Thursday.

People living in flood-prone areas should be on the lookout for potential Flood Warnings that are posted if heavy rain materializes as is predicted.

Right now, there is a Slight Risk (2 of 4) of excessive rainfall in Schuylkill County on Thursday.

The good news: Today will be much more tolerable, at least as far as the temperature goes. While high humidity will still be in place, the high temperature will be close to 20 degrees cooler than it was on Wednesday.
