Charges of sexual assault of a minor against a Pottsville man were bound over for Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas following a hearing downtown Monday afternoon.
The preliminary hearing for Raymond Hall, 56, was held behind closed doors before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley at his downtown Pottsville courtroom Monday.
Assistant District Attorney Jen Foose is leading the prosecution while Andrea Thompson, of the Schuylkill County Public Defenders Office, is representing Hall.
Police in Pottsville announced that Hall had been arrested earlier this month on four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, four counts of indecent assault, incest, indecent exposure, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors.
Hall is being held on $250,000 bail at Schuylkill County Prison.
The Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office alleges that Hall assaulted his minor victim over the course of several years both at his home in Pottsville and at his auto repair business in Palo Alto.
Police in Pottsville say if anyone has information regarding this investigation or if others were subjected to Hall’s alleged abuse, they should contact Capt. Joseph Welsh at 570-622-1234, x1350.
