A Schuylkill County man is accused of threatening to share explicit photos of a woman on social media because she was going to take him to court for child support.
According to court documents, police in Pottsville say they spoke with the victim of this alleged sextortion back on June 27 at City Hall. The woman said because she refused to go to a graduation party with and threatening to take Justin Donton, 40, of Pine Grove, to court for child support, he said he would share these explicit photos of her on Facebook and send them to a family member.
The victim said that she and Donton are the only people who have these explicit photos. She shared images of messages between she and Donton in which he allegedly sent her the photos and made the threat to share the images with others and on social media.
When questioned by police, Donton allegedly admitted to the threat of sharing these photos and said he did it because he wanted the victim to stop contacting him.
Earlier this month, police filed misdemeanor charges of stalking and harassment against Donton. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for mid-August before District Magistrate Judge James Reiley.
