BBs Found Under Stray Cat’s Skin at Schuylkill County Animal Shelter

Dillon arrived at Hillside SPCA back on June 5 as a stray cat.

A new cat at the shelter at this time of the year isn’t exactly news, however. But during a routine exam, staff at Hillside noticing something strange under his skin.

About a week later, Dillon underwent his neutering procedure and that’s when the startling truth was revealed about the strange discovery a week prior.

The vet at Hillside’s clinic removed two BBs that were lodged under Dillon’s skin. Dillon also had a notch taken out of his ear and it’s believed that he was shot there, too.

This little guy is only about 1-2 years old and what was learned about him in just a week at the shelter shows that Dillon has endured a rough start to his time with us.

Thankfully, Dillon is fine and in good spirits.

Now, it’s time to find him a forever home where he’ll get the love and care he very much deserves.

“Despite his past, Dillon is the sweetest boy,” Hillside manager Sherrie Schafer says, and we agree.

Visit Hillside SPCA to meet this courageous young cat and make him part of your family as soon as possible.
