Frackville has hired a part-time police officer.
On Thursday, Borough Council members unanimously approved bringing on Tyler Wall, 20, to its police force on a part-time basis. His hiring is contingent upon graduation from the police academy.
Wall, Fountain Springs, is a Frackville native and a 2023 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.
The addition of Wall will give Frackville a roster of 6 full-time officers and 4 part-timers, according to Police Chief Paul Olson.
