Check out video from the Schuylkill County Commissioners Work Session meeting held on March 19, 2025.
At this meeting, Commissioners Chairman Larry Padora surprises some by announcing a settlement had been reached in the 2021 Jane Doe lawsuit. That lawsuit, filed by four County employees, accused former Commissioner George Halcovage of sexual harassment and other County officials of working to retaliate against them for speaking out with their accusations.
Previously, one of the four Jane Doe plaintiffs reached a settlement with the County for $1.7 million.
Terms of this settlement have not yet been announced.
