Our Furiday Friends series continues this week with a very playful Jack Russell and a cat that needs a patient adopter who each need a new, loving home. All three are available for adoption right now at Hillside SPCA in Pottsville.
Look below to see how to make these Furiday Friends your new best friends today.
Let’s meet this week’s crew:
Mack & Cheese

Mack & Cheese is a remarkable cat who has made an equally remarkable recovery since arriving at Hillside last month.
This 5-year-old boy came to the shelter as a stray. An Amazon driver brought him in after finding him as a stray in Frackville. And when he arrived, he was an absolute mess.
Check out this photo taken of Mack & Cheese in his first days at Hillside:

Now, about six weeks later, Mack & Cheese is cleaned up and ready to find himself the forever home he deserves. But he’s going to need someone that’s got a bit of patience until he acclimates himself to his new surroundings.
Make no mistake, he’s a friendly cat but he needs time to warm up to you. And he can be a bit jumpy. He’s obviously a bit shell-shocked but again, with time, he’s going to make someone very happy to serve him and his needs long into the future.
Mack & Cheese is about 5 years old. He’s neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He’s going to fit in best with a home where there are no other animals. He probably wouldn’t do well, at least initially, around children … he’s just a little bit jumpy around a lot of noise.
We can confirm that he enjoys Temptations treats (what cat doesn’t?).
Wolfgang

Wolfgang is a 3-year-old Siberian husky. He’s neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He recently arrived at Hillside as a stray.
This energetic guy is well-trained. He sits, stays, and speaks on command. Wolfgang can be a bit noisy, however.
He’s good with other dogs but definitely not cats.
