Two Fugitives from Sunday’s High-speed Pursuit That Ended in Schuylkill County Arrested Thursday in Connecticut

The two fugitives connected with the officer-involved shooting and high-speed pursuit that ended in Saint Clair on Sunday have been apprehended.

Jeremiah Begley and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were both taken into custody Thursday morning in Hartford, Conn., according to Pennsylvania State Police Troop H Public Information Officer Megan Frazer. 

The US Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit all participated in their arrest. They now away extradition to Dauphin County.

Prior to today, Guerrero’s true identity was unknown. A juvenile male known as BTW who is already in custody in connection with Sunday’s incident previously identified Guerrero as “Chris”. Police had been asking people in one part of Schuylkill County for video surveillance footage that may have helped track down Begley and Guerrero.

Begley, 17, and Kadence Gooch, 18, of Kingsport, Tenn., have already had numerous charges filed against them in Dauphin County, including attempted homicide. Police filed similar charges, including attempted homicide, against Guerrero on Wednesday.

Begley, Gooch, Guerrero, and BTW are suspected of leading police on a multi-county high-speed pursuit that actually started in Cumberland County. Following a traffic stop from which they fled, they’re accused of firing pistols at trailing State Police. The chase eventually ended near Walmart in Saint Clair on Sunday afternoon.

The four suspects are all from Kingsport, Tenn., and are also accused of stealing a pickup truck and guns before heading to Pennsylvania. While in custody, the juvenile identified as BTW told police that they all thought they were in Massachusetts at the time of their arrest.
