Police are still attempting to identify the unknown juvenile male who fled from a vehicle pursuit into the Saint Clair Walmart store Sunday afternoon.
A new photo from Walmart surveillance video has been released on Tuesday. It shows two males making their way through the Walmart store in Saint Clair. Police are trying to identify the person on the left. The male on the right, wearing a Nirvana T-shirt, has been identified as 17-year-old Jeremiah Begley. He’s tying a man bun in the new photo.
The unknown male is wearing a black Jordan brand T-shirt and what appears to be gray sweatpants. He’s got long black hair and, as police said on Monday, has a darker complexion.
Police are asking residents between Saint Clair and New Philadelphia in Schuylkill County to review any camera footage they may have that captures the two suspects. If they do have such footage, they’re asked to call the State Police-Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.
These two males are part of a group of four who led police on a pursuit that started early Sunday afternoon in West Hanover Township in Dauphin County. Police attempted to pull over the Toyota Tundra pickup they were driving because they had received reports that someone inside was pointing a firearm at passing motorists on Interstate 81.
As police initiated the traffic stop, the driver of the pickup hit the gas and led police on a multi-county pursuit that ended at the Walmart in Saint Clair, where the vehicle became disabled, police say. During the pursuit, police say one of the males inside the vehicle shot at police, hitting one of their patrol vehicles.
Two of the four inside have been apprehended. The search of the two who fled into the Walmart store and out of an emergency exit has been ongoing since Sunday afternoon.
