A Schuylkill Haven woman died Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Berks County.
According to State Police-Reading, the crash happened on Route 222 (aka Kutztown Rd.), east of Long Lane Rd. in Maxatawny Township.
Police say two vehicles were stopped in traffic in the southbound lane of the road. A Chevrolet Traverse driven by Grace Rosado, 43, of Schuylkill Haven, was behind a Freighliner Cascadia driven by Louis Luck, 65, of Washington, DC.
At that time, a vehicle driven by Angel Barzaga Salazar, 57, of Lancaster, was also driving southbound on Route 222. Salazar reportedly failed to stop and hit the vehicle driven by Rosado, pushing her vehicle into the back of the vehicle driven by Luck.
Rosado was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police say. Luck was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatement of a knee injury and chest pain.
