1-3 Inches of Snow Possible Saturday in Schuylkill County

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Schuylkill County with snow and sleet in the forecast.

The Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at noon on Saturday. It’ll expire at 1 a.m. Sunday.

During that time, between 1-3 inches of snow and sleet is expected to fall on Schuylkill County. An additional ice accumulation of up to one-tenth of an inch is also possible.

According to the National Weather Service forecast for Pottsville snow is likely before 4 p.m. Saturday. It’ll possibly mix with sleet during the day. Snow and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet is expected Saturday night before 10, with snow and sleet possible until about 1 a.m. Sunday.

Temps rise above freezing during the day Sunday, with a high of 43 degrees expected. That’ll change the precipitation to the unfrozen variety during teh day. Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible on Sunday.
