A Schuylkill County man is facing numerous charges following a naked disturbance at the Domino’s Pizza shop in Shenandoah back in December.
According to an affidavit filed by police in Shenandoah, officers were dispatched to the Domino’s on W. Center St. shortly before 11 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2024. Employees at the pizza shop told emergency dispatchers that they’d heard a large explosion, screaming, and smoke coming from the bathroom.
As police arrived on the scene, they encountered a completely naked man – identified as Joshua Lindenmuth, 31, of William Penn – covered in a white powder inside the restaurant. Police were able to take Lindenmuth into custody but when they questioned him as to what happened, he told them that he didn’t know and also didn’t know where he was at the time. He also had blood on his hands and thigh, police say.
Lindenmuth reportedly told police that he wanted to died and wanted them to shoot him in the face.
Police then began assessing the scene at the Domino’s. The white powder substance that covered Lindenmuth was apparently from a fire extinguisher. That substance was found all over the floor and walls of the bathroom inside the restaurant. Additionally, the sink in the bathroom was broken in half and on the floor. The mirror and towel dispenser was also on the bathroom floor. Total damage to the restaurant is estimated to be about $1,400.
Domino’s employees told police that when Lindemuth entered the store, he told them that he needed a place to sleep, went into the bathroom, and shut the door. At some point, Lindenmuth also walked naked into the kitchen area, grabbed a two-liter bottle of soda and drank it, based on security video footage police observed.
After Lindenmuth shut the bathroom door is when Domino’s employees say they heard the loud explosion followed by smoke coming from the bathroom.
Police say that Lindenmuth was confused, his speech was slurred, and his eyes were glossy and dilated, signs of being under the influence. Lindenmuth was profusely sweating and twitching. He asked police if people were real or if they were aliens. Emergency medical personnel from Shenandoah Community Ambulance took Lindenmuth to a Pottsville hospital, where he was admitted for a mental health evaluation.
Charges of risking catastrophe, a felony, open lewdness, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, along with several summary offenses are pending against Lindenmuth.

Why was he naked? Where did his clothes go? Was he homeless in William Penn? Did he walk naked from William Penn to Shenandoah and nobody saw him walking naked in the middle of winter and reported it? Do many questions about this article. Signs of being under the influence but no proof that he was. This could be something called a “Brief Psychotic Disorder” ( has nothing to do with being under the influence) …You know what ASSume means? Right? I don’t think it’s fair for people to assume things such as he was under the influence unless you had tested him and he was positive for being under the influence. Glossy eyes? If a person is suicidal perhaps tears, if there was a fire extinguisher involved perhaps it makes your eyes glossy. Let’s be fair. This situation is embarrassing enough for someone, no need to ASSume he’s under the influence without tests first.

Our article is based on the affidavit filed by police and accurate in that regard. No editorializing is done whatsoever. We go to extremes to use terms like “police say” and “allegedly” and “reportedly” because we understand the importance of innocence until proven guilty.
