Schuylkill County Woman Charged After Allegedly Threatening to Cut Off Husband’s Penis

A Schuylkill County woman was arraigned Friday morning after she allegedly threatened to cut off her husband’s penis earlier this week.

According to information from State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the incident happened on Jan. 27 at Frieden Manor in Wayne Township. Police say the husband of Lisa Stabinsky, 45, called 9-1-1 after she allegedly threatened to cut off his penis.

He reportedly told Stabinsky earlier that day that he wanted a divorce. This agitated Stabinsky to point that she threatened him. Stabinsky allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors and cornered her husband in the bathroom of their home. She then allegedly tried to pull down his pants and stab her husband but he was able to get away and take refuge in his vehicle, where called 9-1-1.

Stabinsky was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville for a mental health evaluation while police secured an arrest warrant. Court records show that Stabinsky was arraigned before District Magistrate Judge AJ Serina early Friday morning and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment.

Serina set bail at $10,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 27 before Judge David Rossi.
