National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Schuylkill County Saturday night.
The Dense Fog Advisory is currently in place and expires at 9 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29.
Visibility could be near zero in some locations. That low visibility could make driving conditions extremely difficult. Fog is expected to thicken through the night Saturday.
Patchy drizzle is in the forecast for the rest of Saturday night, with a low temperature of 40 degrees expected. Rain showers are predicted for after 1 a.m. Sunday. Up to one-quarter of an inch of rain is possible during that time.
On Sunday, rain showers are likely, mostly after 5 p.m. A balmy high temperature of 56 degrees is predicted for Sunday. Wind gusts up to 22 mph are also likely on Sunday.
More rain is expected on Sunday night, with up to 1 inch possible. Rain is expected to finally let up early Monday morning, but only for a little bit. We can expect rain on Tuesday night, New Year’s Eve, as temperatures begin to tumble again.
