Makeup Taken by Suspected Porch Pirate

Pirate reportedly had an Uber or Lyft sign in their windshield.

A suspected porch pirate swiped a package from a home in West Mahanoy Township less than a week before Christmas.

According to State Police-Frackville, the incident reportedly happened at about 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 19 along Morea Rd. A resident there said a person or persons in a blue or silver Honda CRV with tinted windows and an Uber or Lyft sign in their window pulled up and swiped a package from the home.

The package had been delivered shortly before this incident by a FedEx driver. Whoever took the package fled the scene in that CRV.

The victim is reporting to police that the package contained a $32 order for makeup from Macy’s.

Anyone with information on this suspected act of porch piracy is asked to call State Police-Frackville at 570-874-5300.
