Snow squalls are possible late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning in Schuylkill County.
According to National Weather Service, these snow squalls will be brief but have the potential to drop up to an inch of snow on the ground in a hurry. These squalls could create hazardous travel conditions.
Strong gusty winds will likely accompany any snow squalls that fall during this time.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 1 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday in Schuylkill County.
Steady winds of 15-25 mph are expected through the day on Thursday. Gusts could reach 45-55 mph and could blow around unsecured objects. Power outages are also possible from high winds.
Overnight into Thursday, there is a chance of snow until 3 a.m. and then rain showers between 3-4 a.m. Rain and snow showers are possible after 4 a.m. Thursday until about noon.
The low temperature overnight is expected to be 30 degrees with a high temp on Thursday of just 31.
Strong winds – just not as strong – are expected into Thursday night and Friday.
