Vegetable Blends Sold at Walmart Recalled Due to Presence of E. coli Bacteria

Vegetable medleys sold at Walmart are part of a product recall announced Friday the US Food and Drug Administration.

According to a release from the FDA, these vegetable medleys may be contaminted with E. coli bacteria. The recall was initiated when Grimmway Farms notified 4Earth Farms that these products may have the presence of E. coli bacteria.

The products included in the recall aren’t available to consumers anymore but could have been frozen by consumers when they were purchased. 

Included in the recall are these products sold at Walmart stores: 

  • Organic Broccoli Medley MKS Bag 6x12oz
  • Broccoli Medley MKS Bag 4x32oz
  • Broccoli Medley MKS Bag 6x12oz
  • Broccoli Stir Fry Medley MKS 6x12oz

These recalled products have Best By dates between Sept. 7 and Nov. 2. No reported illnesses have been linked to these recalled products but it’s important to note that most cases of food poisoning are never reported.

E. coli poisoning symptoms could be experienced anywhere from 1-10 days after contamined food is eaten or contacted.
