A Tamaqua man was taken by medical helicopter from the scene of a crash on Route 209 in Walker Township Sunday evening.
According to information from State Police-Frackville, the crash happened on Route 209, just west of Mining Trail at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.
At that time, a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Allen Tracy, of Tamaqua was headed east on the highway. The vehicle left the eastbound lane and entered the westbound lane.
Tracy’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Corin Moorman, of Brockton. Moorman had 3 passengers in his vehicle at the time, including a 30-year-old woman and children aged 3 and 1.
Moorman was uninjured in the crash. The 30-year-old woman, identified as Sarah Moorman, was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital for a medical evaluation after the incident.
The two children aboard the Moormans’ vehicle were uninjured, according to police.
Tracy is listed as having suffered minor injuries in the crash but was taken by MedEvac helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for further medical evaluation.
Police say they’ve issued a traffic citation against Tracy for leaving his lane of travel.
