FLOOD WATCH: Up to 3 Inches of Rain Possible Overnight Into Wednesday

Flood watch expires at 4 a.m. Wednesday.

National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County.

The Flood Watch is in effect until 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Slow-moving downpours are expected from this afternoon through the overnight hours into Wednesday.

Rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour rainfall are possible.

The total rainfall amounts for Schuylkill County could range from 1.5-2.5 inches. Some areas could get more than 3 inches of rain in this short amount of time.

Streams, creeks, and rivers, low-lying areas, and areas of poor drainage could experience flooding into the overnight hours.
