National Weather Service has placed Schuylkill County under a Heat Advisory for Tuesday, July 9, and Wednesday, July 10.
The Heat Advisory goes into effect at noon on Tuesday and expires at 8 p.m. on Wednesday
Heat Index values will range from 100 to 104 both days. Tuesday will be the hotter of the two days.
High temperatures in Schuylkill County on Tuesday are expected to reach into the mid-90s and oppressive humidity will be present, as well.
The expected high temp on Wednesday is forecast for 91 with high humidity.
The chance of rain showers and storms increases into Wednesday as this area may see impacts from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl. Tropical moisture is expected here on Wednesday with a 70% chance of showers and storms through the day and into Thursday.
