An Orwigsburg woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash just outside the borough on Saturday afternoon.
According to information from State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the crash happened just minutes before 6 p.m. along New Philadelphia Rd., West Brunswick Twp.
Police say a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Susan Lehman, of Orwigsburg was headed south on New Philadelphia Rd. when it left the roadway and struck a mailbox.
Lehman’s vehicle continued south and came to a complete stop when it struck a tree.
Police say Lehman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and died as a result of her injuries sustained in the crash.
She was pronounced dead at the crash by a member of the Schuylkill County Coroner’s office.
