Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot stands at an estimated $1.1 billion!
It’s the sixth time in about the last six years that the jackpot has broken through the $1 billion barrier.
No one matched the last Mega Millions drawing on Friday night. That makes 30 drawings in a row with no jackpot winner. The last jackpot was awarded back on Dec. 8, 2023.
To win Mega Millions, a player must match 5 white balls and a gold Mega Ball.
Tonight’s drawing could creat the fifth largest win in the history of Mega Millions drawings.
In the last drawing, six players got close. They matched all five white balls but missed on the Mega Ball. One player in Virginia won $3 million from matching all five white balls because they chose the Megaplier option on their winning ticket.
The other five million-dollar winners from March 22 were players from California, Florida, Illinois, Nebraska, and Texas.
A Mega Millions ticket is $2. The lottery is played in 45 states and the District of Columbia and US Virgin Islands.
The Mega Millions drawing happens tonight at 11 p.m.
Odds of winning the jackpot are 1:302,575,350.
