Police are on the lookout for a Shenandoah man they say ran from a traffic stop on foot back in February.
According to information released this week from State Police-Frackville, the vehicle stop happened back on Feb. 21 shortly after 8:30 a.m. in Frackville. The stop was for a traffic violation.
Immediately after the stop was initiated, police say the front passenger of the vehicle fled on foot, heading north around the Econo Lodge in Frackville. He was identified as 38-year-old Christopher Buck, of Shenandoah.
Buck is wanted on warrants from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and the Mahanoy City Police Dept.
Court records show Buck is facing felony theft and receiving stolen property charges from an Jan. 24 incident in Mahanoy City. He’s also facing a felony flight to avoid apprehension charge and a pair of terroristic threats charges from an incident on Feb. 5 in that borough.
And now he’s facing another felony flight to avoid apprehension charge after this incident in Frackville on Feb. 21.
State and local police combed the surrounding area but couldn’t find hide nor hair of Buck. They’re asking anyone with information on Buck’s whereabouts to contact the Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300 or to call 9-1-1.
A back-seat passenger in that same stopped vehicle is accused of providing false identification to police at that time. She was eventually ID’d as Emily Lapinsky, 30, of Ashland.
Lapinsky, police say, was wanted by the Schuylkill County Adult Probation Office.
