Up to 2 inches of rain could eventually fall on Schuylkill County on Wednesday.
National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook this morning for central Pennsylvania, including here in the coal region, and says flooding is a possibility with Wednesday’s rain.
Light rain has fallen on Schuylkill County so far Wednesday but its intensity is expected to pick up after 3 p.m.
Most of the heaviest rain today will fall before 11 p.m.
Parts of the area were flooded last week due to heavy rain. Flood prone areas are at risk of flooding again during the evening and nighttime hours on Wednesday. No Flood Watch or advisory has been issued.
Patchy fog may make travel difficult at times. Wind gusts could reach 21 mph.
