πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Robert Donton, 75 – Awarded Bronze Star for Heroism

Gerald Reading, 75, of Schuylkill Haven passed away Wednesday, November 29th, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Robert E. Donton, 75, of Pine Grove, passed away Thursday, November 30th, at home.Β 

Born in Cressona on April 12, 1948, he was a son of the late John & Kathryn (Wengert) Donton.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Company A 2nd Battalion with the First Infantry. He was awarded the bronze star medal with V device for heroism.

He was self-employed, repairing and tuning pianos.

Bobby was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn.Β Β He also belonged to the Pine Grove Fish & Game, and the VFW, Schuylkill Haven.

Bobby loved camping in Potter County, and tinkering in his garage.

He is survived by his son, Robert E. Donton, Jr., & his significant other, Kaylyn, of Pine Grove; daughter, Megan Frasnelli, & her significant other, Tate, of Pottsville; grandchildren: Taylor, Kaidah, Vincent, & Paisley, sisters: Edna Blankenhorn, of Schuylkill Haven; Violet Boyer, of Pine Grove; & Sherry Wolff, & husband, Bruce, of Tremont, nieces, nephews, & cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is also preceded in death by his brother, James Donton, and sisters: Elsie Schneck, & Mary Gaston.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private.
