Police asking for public’s help locating the suspect.

Police are actively looking for a Leesport man accused of raping a minor in Schuylkill County earlier this year.

According to information released by Pennsylvania State Police-Schuylkill Haven, authorities can not locate Christopher Michael Snyder, 34, of Leesport, Berks County.

A warrant for his arrest was signed by District Magistrate David Rossi on Wednesday, according to information police have released.

Snyder is accused of engaging in oral and vaginal sex with a 15-year-old girl in Wayne Twp., Schuylkill County, during the overnight hours of May 8-9 earlier this year.

Police are asking anyone with information on Snyder’s whereabouts to come forward and contact Trooper Michael Vinitski at the Schuylkill Haven barracks, at 570-754-4600.

May 8-9 of this year ? Let me think about it..yeah I’ve seen a suspicious individual back in May. Not sure it was Snyder or Spyder.

Why is taking so long for State Police to post these situations. How many children could he have molested since May 8-9. The predators have more rights than victims.

We received the full criminal complaint in this case a little bit after publishing the info about the suspect being wanted. When he’s apprehended, we’ll have more details on the case. What we can say, based on those documents received today, is that it took from May until mid-September for police to conduct a full investigation, including getting a search warrant for an online messaging app. Proper justice does take time. Victims always wish it all happened quicker than it does, no matter how long it takes, and that’s very understandable. But if judgements are rushed and facts are overlooked in cases like this, a guilty party could get away with something and a victim ends up with no justice.

Tammy is exactly right! Child predators are walking on streets of Schuylkill County every single day searching for new victims. But no, “the crime rates are fairly low” according to Schuylkill officials.
Fyi, I sent a RTK request on child abusers’ arrests in Schuylkill County in 2022. No reply yet. I hope it will not take FOREVER this time for local powerlords to answer.

This is ridiculous. “Police asking for public’s help locating the suspect”, but who the heck knows how the suspect looks like? You are saying that it took from May until mid-September for police to conduct a full investigation, “including getting a search warrant for an online messaging app”. What messaging app? The suspect’s messaging app? Any person in this country who has a phone can be easily located.

Here is a little hint-hint for police: Google it! This person is a registered sex offender, wanted by the Florida Law Enforcement. He is not exactly 34 as described, but there is a photo. Never seen him, but if I ever do I’ll call 911 IMMEDIATELY.

There is a chance more people than this one guy are named Christopher Snyder. We’ll have to publish a follow-up on this story to show more details. Seems very unlikely that the man wanted here is the guy from Florida.

Christopher Michael Snyder. Show the picture to the victim and know for sure if it is unlikely or not. Wishing good luck to police.
