Coal Region Canary Wants to Showcase Your Business This Holiday Season

Share the story behind your business

The holiday season is when Schuylkill County shines brightest—and so do the small businesses that bring joy, creativity, and comfort to our communities. From festive storefronts and craft-filled market tables to cozy home-grown startups, every local business has a story worth celebrating this time of year.

Coal Region Canary’s Small Business Showcase is here to spotlight those stories. Whether you’re helping neighbors find the perfect gift, serving up holiday flavors, or offering services that keep the season running smoothly, we want to help you share what makes your business part of the magic.

This isn’t just promotion—it’s connection. Our Q&A is designed to bring out the heart of your business: how it started, what inspires you, and why customers keep coming back.

Once you submit your responses (and a few great photos), we’ll craft a polished feature article that appears right here on Coal Region Canary. It’s completely FREE, and it’s our way of giving back to the entrepreneurs who keep the region thriving.

During a season that encourages shopping small and supporting neighbors, your story deserves to be heard.

If you’re a maker, a shop owner, a service provider, or a passionate local entrepreneur, we’d love to introduce you—or reintroduce you—to the Coal Region this holiday season.

Fill out the form below to get started.

Let’s celebrate what makes your business part of the Coal Region’s holiday spirit.

I’d like to nominate a small business to be spotlighted if that’s possible.

    The Maid’s Quarters in Pottsville.

Anyone who has the pleasure of tasting Allyson’s baking will agree that she is a very talented baker and outstanding hostess.

You can order online and her selection of scones, breads and cookies which in my opinion the best in the county by far.

Do yourself a favor and visit her website and order some tasty treats for the holidays.

Disclaimer: I am in no way connected with The Maid’s Quarters, just an extremely satisfied and repeat customer.
