State Police recently made an arrest of a Schuylkill County man who gave them the wrong name to avoid more serious trouble.
According to limited information released by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, authorities caught up with a 31-year-old Pine Grove area man along Lovers Lane, Pine Grove Township, a little past 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.
Police were responding to a report of a suspicious person in the area.
When police identified and questioned the alleged suspicious person, he gave the name “Michael Scott” but authorities soon learned that wasn’t his real name.
This unknown person gave police a false name because he was wanted on a felony arrest warrant at the time. Police say they did identify him properly and has since been charged.
The real identity of “Michael Scott” has not been released to the public and no court records are available at this time. Let’s presume he’s now known as “Prison Mike”.
Police say the case is pending court.
