A man wanted by State Police is likely in the Pine Grove area and authorities are warning residents there to be on the lookout.
According to information released Friday morning, State Police in Jonestown encountered Jeremy Hunter, 36, on Thursday night along Interstate 81 in the area of Mile Marker 100.8 in Pine Grove Township.
As police attempted to take Hunter into custody, he fled the scene by hopping the guide rail along the interstate, disappearing into a wooded area along Oak Grove Road.
Police say Hunter is wanted and has full extradition warrants out of Georgia and Alabama. He is described by police as an Asian man with an average build with tattoos on both arms and legs. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt with black shorts and no shoes.
Hunter is likely looking for a chance to flee the area and residents are urged to lock their vehicles and homes. Any suspicious activity should be reported to local police in the area.
