Pottsville native Travis Blankenhorn smacked his 11th home run of the season in last week’s series with the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals).
He is tied with Matt Adams for the team lead in that category.
Blankenhorn’s homer came during the Rochester Red Wings’ June 22 game against Omaha.
The night before, Blankenhorn ripped an RBI double for Rochester.
Overall, the former Crimson Tide star struggled a bit at the plate last week, going 3-for-20.
In June, he’s hitting .212 with 4 homers and 13 RBI. On the season, Blankenhorn is hitting at .239 with 11 home runs and 37 RBI. His 37 RBI also lead the Red Wings on the 2023 season.
The Red Wings took just 2 of their 6 games against Omaha last week.
Sunday’s 7-3 loss to the Storm Chasers marked the official end to the first half of the International League season.

Blankenhorn Returns Home This Week for Series vs. Iron Pigs
Local fans will have a chance to see Blankenhorn in action this coming week when his Red Wings visit the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Phillies). The 6-game series gets underway starting on Wednesday and runs through Monday, July 3.
