Willie A. Muldowney, 68 – Employed at Good Samaritan RMC

Willie Ann Muldowney, 68, of Llewellyn, Branch Township, formerly of Pottsville, passed away on Thursday, June 8, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Willie L. Hook and the late Roseanna (nee Muller) Hook-Stokes.  

She was educated in South Carolina before coming to Pennsylvania.  

She had been employed in the Environmental Services Department of the former Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, now Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert J. Muldowney, in 2009; a granddaughter, Miah Alexander; three sisters, Alice Hook, Devern Vaughan and Bessie Mae “Patsy” Hook.

Willie is survived by her daughter, Chandra Muldowney (fiancé, William Rogers), Llewellyn; three sons, Darnell Alexander (spouse, Jillian), Upperco, MD, Willie Alexander, Pottsville, and Melvin Alexander (partner, Jessica Yorski), Schuylkill Haven; ten remaining grandchildren, Camden and Braelyn Rogers, Gavin and Avery Alexander, Tyler Ward, Willie and Lena Alexander, Cierra, Asia and Zamonie Alexander.  She is also survived by two brothers, Bo Pete Hook, South Carolina and James “Bo” Stokes, Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Helen Staley, Staten Island, NY, and Maryanne Stokes, Long Island, NY; nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Friday, July 7, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.  Interment will be on Tuesday, July 11, at 1:30 P.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
